“For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for literature...
It began with reading spooky YA books on the school bus, and blossomed into studying a Bachelor of Arts, writing articles for a popular magazine, marketing for a publishing house, and editing novels by amazing indie authors. I’m so thankful for each and every editing opportunity Crossbones secures, and because it’s a passion of mine, you know I’ll always put in 110%.”
About Me
Hi! I’m Lacey! The founder & main force behind Crossbones Editing.
- I live in rural Queensland with my partner and our cat, Meow Meow.
- I’m a writer for frankie Magazine and publish the occasional article on their blog. You can check out my recent articles here!
- I host my own alternative rock radio show every Sunday night on our local community station.
- I’ve worked for an international publishing company as a social media advertising specialist and content creator. Here I mainly marketed romance fiction novels by indie authors.
- I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, where my majors were Writing and English Literature. I also studied electives in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Forensic Archaeology, Popular Music, and Religion. Upon graduation I was inducted into the UQ Future Leaders Program.
- I love gardening, op shopping, discovering new music, upcycling, being creative, painting, and of course, reading and writing. My favorite movie is House of 1000 Corpses and my favorite TV shows are Dexter, Hannibal, and Black Books.
- I collect vintage toys, trinkets, oddities, skulls, strange books, Kewpie dolls, Living Dead Dolls, Begoth Dolls, Troll Dolls, teeth, and jewelry.
- Growing up, my mum was always a big reader. She’s a massive Stephen King fan and has almost his entire collection.
- The book I’ve personally re-read the most is American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis.
